Shepherdstown to Brunswick (18.9 mi)
Parked on the WV side, crossed the Potomac on the bridge. The towpath here is flat gravel — 478 ft of climbing over 19 miles. Passed the old cement mill ruins near Antietam Creek.
Brunswick to Shepherdstown (27.5 mi)
Lunch in Brunswick, then the long way back. Same path, different light. Afternoon sun through the sycamores, river glassy on the right. Eco mode stretched the battery fine for 27 miles.
Combined: 46.4 miles, 765 ft of climbing, just over four hours. Flat day but good distance. The C&O is worth it for the history and the quiet.
